Rachel Ellen Brock was born in Lake Butler. Her parents were James Albert and Georgiann Boyd Boytt. She married John Lancaster Jameson and moved to Bell. Not long after Rachel married she added the "r" to Jameson. Family legend has it that Jameson was pronounced as if it had an "r" and Rachel was exhausted with the name constantly being misspelled!
