George Stuart MERCHANT and his son Harry McCreary MERCHANT
George Stuart came to Alachua County before 1870 from Newberry County, SC. George owned a grocery store on the square in Gainesville . His son Harry McCreary became a early Gainesville physician and was a prominent Gainesville physician for over 33 years.
