Marion Glenn Stringfellow was born on his father's plantation at Fort Clarke on July 15, 1888. His parents moved to Gainesville shortly after that time, and he was reared in this city, attending high school and the University for two years. He graduated from the University of Georgia. His parents were Joseph Dogan and Bessie Kincaid Stringfellow. During World War I he was a first lieutenant in the Transportation Department. He died on April 17, 1928 at the age of 29and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery. |
