1900-1922 Mae Cellon Bryan was my great aunt, she married W.D. Bryan in 1917 and bore 3 children. Adrian, born in 1918. Robert Adair, born in 1920, was killed in a bicycle accident in Columbia County in 1935. Margery who was born in 1921. Sadly, Mae died in 1922 from lockjaw. Her father, Frank Cellon had ordered serum form Jacksonville to be delivered by train to Starke. He and his daughter, Ruby Cellon Jamerson, my grandmother, met the train in Starke to deliver the serum to Mae hoping to help her through this dreaded disease. Sadly, Mae died as they were in route to Ft. White to deliver it to her. Mae was only 22 years old. Adrian is still living. Margery was adopted out and my cousin Gail and I still search for her. |
